BASIC/UX 700 is a simple, straight forward software development environment that is Y2K compliant and ideal for automated test and measurement applications.

BASIC/UX 700 is compatible with all other HP BASIC platforms, so you can develop a program on your workstation and port it to your PC. An internal program editor checks syntax as you write the program. Trace tools provide a line-by-line log of executed statements and variable changes as the program runs. With BASIC/UX you can store a library of subroutines in various languages for re-use, calling them as needed. Use the powerful graphics of BASIC/UX to clearly display your data or build high-quality user interfaces for your applications.

Agilent HP BASIC/UX for S/700 Workstations runs exclusively on HP-UX 10.20.

CSUB and Compiler:
The CSUB function provides HP BASIC/UX programmers with the speed and flexibility of the C language and computational efficiency of FORTRAN. Functions written in these languages, or in Pascal, can be linked into your HP BASIC programs to provide a hefty performance boost.

HP BASIC Plus:
HP BASIC Plus adds two important features to HP BASIC/UX. It is an important product that expands HP BASIC/UX by providing user interface graphics commands and online help. HP BASIC Plus lets you easily create bright, crisp user interface graphics. All the graphics provide a wide range of settings that you can easily customize to meet your application requirements. With just a few lines of code, you can create many graphics objects, including objects as complicated as strip charts.

HP BASIC Plus provides online help for all the HP BASIC keywords. You can access information directly by keyword, or by using the keyword dictionary. You can even copy examples from online help directly into your HP BASIC program!

Programs From Other HP BASIC Platforms:
Most program files from the HP BASIC Workstation and HP BASIC/UX for S/300 will load directly into HP BASIC/UX for S/700 Workstations without any modifications.

BASIC / UX 700 (E2045C for HP-UX 10.20)
A license to use is required for each workstation running the software. For a single workstation, one "License to use" (72047A-0700) and one "Media on CD" (T2047A-0099) is required. For multiple workstations, additional licenses are required, but all could share the same media CD. The IO Library G.03.00 is also included with BASIC/UX 700.

BASIC / UX 700 (10.20) Support Subscription

LTU (License To Use):
This is the license to use the product. One LTU is required for each computer that is executing code. When a product is sold it has a LTU which covers that revision of the product. The support LTU provides a new LTU that covers new releases of the software.
All TAMS Licenses specify the product revision, which is licensed, but allow the use of previous versions of the product. For example if the current version of a product is 6.0 the LTU is valid for 6.0 and any previous version of the product like 4.0.
A support LTU is required in order to receive Support Materials.

Support Materials:
This provides updated software and documentation. Software is provided on CD-ROM. Documentation may be provided as a CD-ROM with html or pdf files, a printed manual, or for simple changes, as an errata sheet. This must be ordered with the Support LTU.

Response Center:
This service provides customers with direct access to our Engineering Response Center to handle all technical questions relating to the product under support. The Response Center provides guaranteed response times and accesses to qualified support engineers who can provide solutions to common problems, investigate anomalies and address bugs. The Response Center may be purchased separately from the Support LTU and Materials.
