Special considerations when installing on Japanese HP-UX 10.20

The Japanese language version of HP-UX 10.20 has an issue with swinstall, such that a core dump message may be generated when attempting to install drivers for the 70488 and 71622 products. To work around this problem, it is necessary to copy the contents of the CD-ROM to a temp directory on the hard disk, edit the INDEX file, and do the installation from the temp directory.

Copy contents of CD-ROM into local disk, into a temporary directory such as /tmp_install, as root user:

Command	Comment
> mkdir /tmp_install /SD_CDROM	create directories if needed
> mount /dev/dsk/c1t2d0 /SD_CDROM	mount CD-ROM under SD_CDROM (use appropriate device file for the CD-ROM)
> cd /tmp_install	change working directory to target
*> cp -R /SD_CDROM/.**	copy contents to target directory

Edit catalog/INDEX as following:
Remove the line "category" if present.
Change "data_model_revision" from 2.40 to 2.20
File will be read-only, so it will be necessary to force the write of the file from the editor.

Run swinstall, specify Source Depot Path as /tmp_install directory instead of the CD-ROM.

Delete /tmp_install:

> cd /
> rm -rf tmp_install
